Environmental conservation is an essential element of Cedarbrook Lodge’s mission and vision and we embrace the sustainable efforts throughout the Pacific Northwest region with our Inspire program.
INSPIRE MISSION STATEMENT
Embrace and enhance Cedarbrook Lodge’s social responsibility initiatives to strengthen the positive impact on our global environment and local community.
INSPIRE VISION
More than just a hotel near Seattle airport, Cedarbrook Lodge strives to inspire others to adopt our initiatives where possible and continuously improve our results. We will learn from and explore emerging best practices by thinking globally while impacting locally.
FOUR PILLARS
Agricultural Stewardship
Stewardship has aptly been described as the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care. Through the staunch support and promotion of local farmers, ranchers, vintners, and like-minded organizations, Cedarbrook Lodge and Copperleaf Restaurant have demonstrated a genuine commitment to careful and responsible agricultural stewardship. We will seek further ways to deepen this commitment.
Supply Chain Integrity
A supply chain is the network of all the individuals, organizations, resources, activities and technology involved in the creation and sale of a product, from the delivery of source materials from the supplier to the manufacturer, through to its eventual delivery to the end user. Here at Cedarbrook Lodge there are numerous vendors that contribute to the delivery of our final product. This is as varied as the soap we use in guestrooms, to the recyclable Cedarbrook pens provided for guests, to the food we serve and eat, to the LED lightbulbs that are used throughout the property. Over the years, Cedarbrook Lodge and Copperleaf Restaurant have taken significant strides in developing the integrity and responsibility of our purchasing. There is still substantial room for growth as we explore further opportunities to purchase from sustainable and ethical sources.
Natural Resource Efficiency
The management of our planet’s limited natural resources must be administered in a committed, efficient and sustainable manner in order to minimize the impact to our environment. Local impact can be made to our Northwest waterways, recycling and composting programs, bio-fuel recycling, electric charging stations and the use of smart energy systems and equipment.
Community Enrichment
We are committed to seeking opportunities to serve, support and improve our local community across the following areas: social services, community service, recreation, education, the environment, and arts/cultural programs. We will partner with like-minded community agencies and established volunteer organizations to select projects that will improve our local area and benefit our neighbors.
