Major League Soccer in our area took off like a rocket when the Seattle Sounders FC were founded in 2008 and joined the MLS Western Conference. It was the 15th team at the time; there are now 18 teams plus one expansion team. The Sounders sold more season tickets than any other MLS club in the league’s 13-year existence.
Sounder home games are played at CenturyLink Field (just 14 miles and 11 minutes from Cedarbrook Lodge).

We understand that Seattle-based fans needn’t consider an overnight stay on either pre-game or post-game nights. However for those out-of-area Washingtonians (or Oregonians) for that matter, who LOVE the MLS and for whom the Sounders are ‘your’ team for which to cheer, consider this. Cedarbrook Lodge. Like we said, it’s located only 11 minutes from CenturyLink Field and 5 minutes from SeaTac International Airport. So before (or after) you purchase your Sounders’ game tickets, make your guestroom reservations at one of the Seattle area’s most distinctive lodging alternatives.
Instead of over-nighting in Seattle ‘just’ for the game, you can enjoy oh so much more. Revel in the thrill of simply being ‘away.’ There’s also award-winning, sustainable, fresh farm-to-table cuisine and adult beverages at Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar. And a delicious Northwest continental breakfast offered daily, included in the guest room rate.
One last thing. There’s no hard feelings if you’re visiting Seattle to cheer for the Sounders’ opponents. All MLS fans are welcome at Cedarbrook Lodge.
