SEATAC, Wash. – (Sept. 26, 2013) – In celebration of October being National Women’s Small Business Month, the quintessentially farm-to-table Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar is offering a tasting dinner menu exclusively featuring products from women-owned farms, ranches and wineries. The supplementary four-course menu will be available Oct. 7-10 during regular dinner hours.

“We’re very fortunate to have a number of excellent women-owned culinary artisans in our region,” said Roy Breiman, culinary director of Cedarbrook Lodge. “At Copperleaf, we regularly support many small and local farmers, ranchers and vintners, several of which are owned and managed by very talented and devoted women. It’s a special privilege to honor these women with our specially prepared tasting menu.”

The main ingredient of each course highlights a different local female farmer partner, including Sarah Cassidy of Oxbow Farms & Education Center in Carnation, Wash.; Rose Aschenbrenner of Pleasant View Farm in Puyallup, Wash.; Tracy Baker of Gleason Ranch in Brady, Wash.; and Anne Hainsworth of Cherry Valley Dairy in Duvall, Wash.

Together, Breiman and Copperleaf Executive Chef Mark Bodinet have developed the following four-course dinner, available in conjunction with Copperleaf’s regular seasonal menusHoney Glazed Oxbow Farm Sugar Pie Pumpkin with rainbow Swiss chard, vanilla poached liberty apples and toasted filberts; Pleasant View Farm Duck Ravioli with white truffle parsnip crème and preserved Cascade huckleberries; Gleason Ranch Dry Aged Beef Ribeye with caramelized Walla Walla onions, braised cavelo nero and applewood smoked bacon; and Cherry Valley Dairy “Dairy Reserve” with maple glazed garnet yams, cinnamon French toast and marshmallow fluff.

Additionally, all of the featured wine pairings are from regional women vintners, including Nina Foster of Buty Winery, Patricia Green of Patricia Green Cellars, Stacy Lill and Kathy Johnson of O Wines, and Marie-Eve Gilla of Forgeron Cellars.

This special dinner menu celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month is available for a limited time beginning on Monday, Oct. 7 through Sunday, Oct.13. The cost is $65 per person, with wine pairings available for an additional $35 per person. Copperleaf’s regular seasonal dinner and lounge menus will also be available.
