SEATTLE – (January 31, 2013) - In an effort to end hunger in Western Washington, Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar announces the date for “Savor: Sustaining Lives, Nourishing Hope.” The 2nd annual celebrity chef dinner and auction benefitting Food Lifeline will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 6 p.m. at the quintessentially Northwest Cedarbrook Lodge in Seattle.

Savor: Sustaining Lives, Nourishing Hope brings together some of Seattle’s top chefs for an exciting evening of exquisite sustainble cuisine for guests to enjoy as they learn more about Food Lifeline’s mission and impact in the community. Last year’s inguaral event raised more than $143,000 for Food Lifeline, enough to provide meals for 429,000 hungry people.

“We were blown away by the support of the community at last year’s Savor and anticipate another tremendous event this year,” said Roy Breiman, culinary director of Cedarbrook Lodge and Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar. “Food Lifeline is an incredible organization and it’s a privilege to continue our partnership by spending the evening cooking with other Seattle chefs to collectively support a great cause.”

Savor features a five-course plated dinner, each course prepared by a different chef in partnership with a local farmer, artisan or rancher of their choice; wine pairings from Sozo; and opportunities to support Food Lifeline through raffle, live auction and raise-the-paddle. Auction items will include one-of-a-kind travel opportunities, exquisite culinary experiences, lively sports and entertainment events, as well as several special customized live auction items presented and sponsored by eachSavor chef. New for this year’s event is a VIP option featuring an exclusive pre-party which will include book signings with some of the chefs, hors ‘d oeuvres prepared by Salumi’s Armandino Batali, barrel tastings with John Bigelow of JM Cellars, and more.

The 2nd annual Savor: Sustaining Lives, Nourishing Hope will take place at Cedarbrook Lodge’s Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar in Tamarack Hall on Saturday, April 20th from 6 to 10 p.m. General admission tickets are $195 each or $1,950 for a table of 10.
