Award-winning farm-to-table dining destination announces holiday dinners and menus

Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar announces its holiday dinners available for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve

SEATTLE – (November 1, 2012) - The perfect solution for those who won’t be home for Christmas, or for those who simply prefer dining out for the holidays, Seattle’s award-winning Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar announces its holiday dinners available for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

“As the holiday season approaches and people plan their menus, we invite them to celebrate in Seattle, Copperleaf style,” said Roy Breiman, culinary director of Cedarbrook Lodge and Copperleaf Restaurant & Bar. “From the exquisitely planned menus Mark has prepared and the great ingredients sourced from our region, to our intimate ambiance and unparalleled service, we look forward to introducing guests to dining at Copperleaf this holiday season.”

Copperleaf’s Executive Chef Mark Bodinet is preparing the following dining options this holiday season:

Thanksgiving Celebration, November 22nd - Guests can select Copperleaf’s lounge menu, available all day, or the four-course prix fixe tasting dinner menu. Featuring elements of both traditional and innovative cuisine, guests can savor favorites including Poached Bosc Pears with parmesan reggiano, banyuls vinegar, Swiss chard and soubise; Roast Turkey with Yukon gold potato puree, arrowleaf spinach, cranberry jam, sage stuffing and brown sugar gravy; and Banana Bread French Toast with peanut butter ice cream, cinnamon mousse and spiced brittle. The tasting menu is $59 per person with wine pairings available for an additional $25 per person.

Christmas Celebration, December 24th and December 25th - Copperleaf celebrates Christmas with its five-course prix fixe tasting dinner menu on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The menu includes Northwest-inspired dishes such as Roasted Heirloom Beets with marinated fennel, honeycrisp apples and vanilla cider; Anderson Ranch Lamb Saddle with garnet yams, brown butter chestnuts and preserved Cascade huckleberries; and Fromage Blanc Ice Cream with vanilla-poached fruit cake, toasted walnuts and pomegranate molasses. The five-course tasting dinner menu is available for $75 per person with wine pairings available for an additional $25 per person. White Truffle Risotto Carnaroli Risotto with shaved Alba white truffles and parmesan reggiano or Pleasant View Foie Gras with black truffle, Richland hazelnuts and preserved Cascade huckleberries can be supplemented to the tasting dinner for an additional cost. Additionally, Copperleaf’s lounge menu will be available all day, both on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, as well as an a la carte menu available for lunch on Christmas Eve.

New Year Celebration, December 31st - Ring in 2013 with a celebratory dinner at Copperleaf, complete with live entertainment from the Jacqueline Tabor Jazz Quartet. The seven-course dinner tasting menu features favorites including Ozette Potato Soup with white truffle, garden thyme and black trumpet mushrooms; 48-hour Braised Wagyu Brisket with arrowleaf spinach, brioche, pickled onions, sweet carrots and oxtail bordelaise; and Honeycrisp Apple Tart with spiced cranberry relish and white chocolate glacé. The tasting menu is $95 per person with wine pairings available for an additional $35 per person. Copperleaf’s lounge menu will also be available all day.

In addition to many herbs and vegetables grown in Cedarbrook’s onsite Chef’s garden and mushroom patch, Copperleaf sources most of its menu from within 100 miles of the restaurant. Copperleaf’s wine list is comprised of more than 85 percent local and regional varietals from top Pacific Northwest vintners, including more than 24 biodynamic and organic varietals and Copperleaf’s private label red wine.

Copperleaf was named a 2011 Top 10 New Restaurant by Gayot, as well as Best New Restaurant to open in 2010 by Seattle Magazine readers.
