December 16, 2009 This was my second time at Cedarbrook, and my husband's first. He loved it. We stayed prior to an early morning flight with a handful of other guests. The bar and dining staff made us feel like they were taking care of us personally. Everything was beautifully decorated for the holidays and immaculately clean. The food and service to perfection. The price was right. I cannot sing the praises enough of Cedarbrook and the oasis you provide. For years we have endured the tacky, run-down, high-priced (and low) options on International BLVD prior to flights, and discovering Cedarbrook is a breath of fresh air...I am telling everyone I know about Cedarbrook - the best-kept secret at Sea-Tac. The facility is beautiful both inside and out, very relaxing - shockingly so, considering its proximity to the airport - and provides great food and drinks. Personally, I prefer downtown Seattle for a leisure trip, but if you're traveling on business and/or have a car this is a wonderful option. Everything about this hotel was wonderful . . . October 12, 2009 We found Cedarbrook as we were looking for a hotel near SeaTac airport in Seattle. Everything about this hotel was wonderful - accommodating and pleasant staff, beautiful rooms, fabulous snack area, great breakfast buffet. They provide transportation from the airport to the hotel, and also arranged a car for me to take to the train station downtown. I found this place to have the best hospitality we have ever found (we have one 10 yr old and a 13 yr old who also loved it). They had a well equipped exercise room. Unfortunately, no swimming pool, but we did fine without it. It was the closest to coming to staying at a retreat center, but being close to many venues. The grounds where beautiful . . . October 7, 2009 Cedarbrook Lodge was absolutely fantastic, the staff was extremely courteous, the room and food was excellent. What really impressed me was that the rooms had spa tubs, and complimentary robes. The grounds where beautiful, and if it was warmer I would have gone outside to enjoy the surroundings. I would recommend this place to anyone. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. October 1, 2009 After a late flight and later check-in, we awoke to an amazing view of cedar trees outside our floor to ceiling windows. We felt like we were literally in the middle of a forest, although we were all of 5 minutes from SeaTac Airport. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Previous reviewers told me what to expect, but I was surprised by the simple beauty of the hotel. The property surrounds a open beamed central building that houses meeting rooms, a soaring two story fireplace in the lobby, a side room with a pool table and bar and an onsite restaurant. Covered walkways lead you a few steps to side buildings holding the guest rooms. All rooms face either the wetlands or an interior view of beautifully landscaped trees, bushes and the occasional squirrel. The rooms are modern, glass, wood and chrome themed. Clean and obviously well cared for. The rooms are so quiet you are barely aware of other guests. A central lounge in each of the buildings holds a fireplace, tv, small library and a refrigerator stocked with all the free bottled water, yogurt, ice cream and string cheese you can drag to your room. Apothecary jars on a counter also hold pretzels, malt balls, chips, etc. Nice. A huge exercise room had every apparatus known from treadmills to ellipticals to free weights and squat racks. Room is very clean with modern decors. Spacious bathroom with big mirror. And my favorite part of the room is the big window facing the nicely landscaped courtyard. Free wifi, free bottle water, snack and ice cream. To top it off, the free breakfast comes with a feel of fine dining, with a lot of fruits and great service. June 7, 2009 Perhaps I am in a unique position to review Cedarbrook.... We had our wedding at Cedarbrook and have been dealing with them in detail for over a year. Now granted I have only had one wedding, but the people and staff at Cedarbrook were extremely accommodating to making our day exactly how we wanted. We were assigned a specific person to help us along the way and she was available via email and by phone whenever we needed. The food and chefs here are amazing . . . The atmosphere here was exactly what we were looking for. It sort of has a modern/rustic fusion with lots of wood and very nice landscaped grounds. The hotel rooms are very nice as well, top notch. They have a common area with a loaded refrigerator stocked with waters, juices, various ice creams, yogurt, as well as various kinds of malt balls/yogurt covered pretzels.... all complimentary! You can’t beat that. The staff at Cedarbrook goes out of their way to make everything top notch. We had dozens of people staying there for our wedding and many of our wedding guests commented how nice the staff was and how they made the stay very pleasant, above and beyond. So... if you are considering Cedarbrook for a special occasion like a wedding, or if you are considering them for any event I would highly recommend. The staff and services they provide are top notch. Even just to stay at a hotel near the airport..... 100% recommended. If I could give Cedarbrook 6 stars, I would. |
